Kahnawake iGaming Jurisdiction

iGaming Jurisdictions - Kahnawake

Based in Quebec, Canada Kahnawake carries authority due to their sovereign status. Regulations were designed to ensure three basic principles:

  • That only suitable people and entities are permitted to operate
  • That games are fair to players
  • That winners are paid

Despite Kahnawake carrying authority due to their sovereign status and even though the commision retains native rights of the Mohawk nation, they are still bound to operate within the Canadian criminal code, which states only the provincial government can issue gaming licences.

Unlike other countries issuing gaming licences, Kahnawake carefully monitor all activity from all sites.

Established in 1996, the Kahnawake gaming commission is comprised of 3 members, the commitment of the commission to fair trading reflects on every site.
